Every morning I follow the same routine: moisturizing my skin and doing my makeup. I try to focus on my own natural beauty and avoid covering myself up with makeup, but that doesn’t mean I don’t add a little something in the morning anyway. My daily face/makeup routine only takes about 5-10 minutes and just gives me a little confidence boost!

I start my mornings by splashing some cold water on my face just to help me wake up. I don’t fully wash my face in the morning because I wash and exfoliate it at night. I then apply my new favorite Everyday CBD Serum by Superflower, which is absolutely amazing. It makes my skin soft, soothes it, and so many other things but I’ll be sharing more in a future article! I rub a small blob of the Everyday serum around my whole face, making sure to only put a thin layer.
Once the serum dries, I use l’Occitane’s Aqua Reotier. It is a hydrating, water-based cream that feels light on the face. I have dry skin, and this cream is great at balancing the dryness with oil. Finally, I put a few dots of CeraVe’s Eye Repair Cream under and above my eyes. My friend convinced me that I should use eye cream at a young age in order to prevent wrinkles when I’m older.

After my face has been properly moisturized, I move on to my makeup! Considering that more than half of my makeup products are from Glossier, I would say I’m having a love affair with them. First, I use Glossier’s Stretch Concealer in G10 to cover up any small blemishes I have. After, I use their Boy Brow in blonde on my eyebrows to give them a little shape and help fill them in. The Boy Brow is made of a light, creamy wax that helps my eyebrows keep their shape. I always make sure to wipe off some of the wax on the inside of the container because otherwise, my eyebrows become too dark.
Next, I use MAC’s Extended Play Gigablack Lash Mascara. And to top it all off, I use Glossier’s Haloscope in Moonstone. I really want to get the Haloscope in Quartz to add a little more color to my cheeks, but the Moonstone still provides a nice shine. I swipe it along my cheekbones and even up to my eyelids to provide a little highlight around my eyes.
That is my entire routine! It may sound like a lot to do because of the number of products I use, but each application is very quick. After going through this routine, I feel like I’ve “done my face” but not to the point where I’m covered up. My goal is to accentuate the features I already have in a very natural way. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any more questions about the products or for other recommendations!
